Beer, Pizza & Music at the brewery!

Some of you may remember Slecktember from way back when. Well, here’s the long-overdue follow up: Frothtober!

The brewery will be opening its doors on Saturday the 4th of October from 4pm – 10:30pm right here at Great Newsome Farm. A range of Great Newsome Brewery and Little Valley beers will be on offer on the bar plus a range of other drinks. Food will be available from Dough Punks who will be serving up their delicious pizzas should you be peckish.
We will have live music on throughout the evening under the cover of stretch tents in the beer garden — see below for who’s playing and when.
Admission is £5 which includes a pint of beer, cider or non-alcoholic drink.

Please bring a print off of your ticket or proof of purchase on your phone for admission.

Music Schedule

  • Jeremy Keelty (16:00 – 16:30): Guitarist and pianist, playing indie folk, the occasional bit of Radiohead and a smattering of excellent originals.
  • Jonathan Hodgson (16:45 – 17:30): Away from the combine harvester at long last! Jonathan will be playing acoustic covers from acts such as Primal Scream, Don Mclean and Johnny Cash.
  • Sam Abblett-Kemp (17:45 – 18:30): This young, local guitarist and singer has just released his first album: Him Being Me. Wielding an arsenal of open tunings and finger picking, Sam’s got a real knack for covering indie and pop tunes in his own way.
  • The Pretty Evocative (18:45 – 19:45): A duo playing tunes from genres as distant as folk and punk with groovin’ guitars and belting vocals. Come for the Courteeners, stay for the Dylan.
  • Rebecca Ivy (20:00 – 20:45): A young, talented singer hailing from Withernsea. Rebecca sings soul, blues and pop numbers with a smile and ease that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat.
  • The Inside Covers (21:15 – 22:30): This new trio are quickly making a name for themselves in East Yorkshire, playing laid-back classics from then to now! This blend of folk rock and classic pop comes courtesy of Ben on the cajón, Greg with his electric bass and Lee playing acoustic guitar. Tasty harmonica licks may also be thrown in for good measure.
