Online Orders FAQs | Great Newsome Brewery

Many of you are taking advantage of our online shop to buy your beer, cider and merchandise. A few questions pop up time and time again, so here are some answers:


Where do you deliver to?

We deliver our beers all over mainland Britain. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. We offer free and reduced shipping charges for local deliveries.


Will you deliver my order safely?

Yes. Our driver will place your order on the doorstep, before then backing away to a safe distance. We do not require a payment or signature.


When will I receive my order?

We aim to dispatch local orders — HU and YO postcodes — within 3 working days of receiving them. The coming week’s delivery dates are posted to our Facebook and Instagram pages every Monday, so check those out for a specific day.

We dispatch courier orders within 2 working days with overnight shipping.


What time will you deliver my order?

Our drivers are very busy at the moment, which makes it challenging for us to know exactly when they will deliver to you. If you would like some idea of when our driver will arrive at your address, then simply ask us to call you 30 mins before arrival. Alternatively, you can ask us to leave your order in a safe place at the time of ordering.


Why isn’t your website offering me free/discounted shipping?

We currently only offer free shipping to HU Postcodes on orders over £30, and £5 shipping on orders under £30. We also offer £5 shipping (on orders over £30) to the following postcodes:

DN14 | DN18 | DN19 | DN20 | YO15 | YO16 | YO25 | YO41 | YO42 | YO43

Assuming your order qualifies for shipping discounts, then please make sure you have entered your address correctly at the checkout. Re-enter the postcode if your device pre-populates the form. If this still doesn’t succeed, then please call the office on 01964 612201 during office hours to order over the phone.


Do you want the bottles or empty mini kegs back when I have finished them?

Sadly, we cannot currently take back empty bottles, boxes or mini kegs. Simply pop them into the correct recycle bin at home.
