About Us

Great Newsome Brewery is a multiple-time World Beer Award winning brewery, based in East Yorkshire and close to the city of Hull. We operate a 2020-model 20brl Moeschle brewhouse with 100brl of fermenting capacity and 120brl of bright beer storage. A Byworth boiler provides the steam for all heating requirements. Though the majority of Great Newsome beer is sold in cask, the brewery has successfully pivoted over the last 12 months and created a strong ecommerce presence for its range of bottle beer. The business produces both a core range of real ale and seasonal specials, supplying customers throughout the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire region as well as the occasional overseas export.

Great Newsome Brewery has grown a reputation over the last 14 years for producing consistent, first-rate beers with an emphasis on maintaining high standards. The brewery has been SALSA approved for a number of years. Our small brewing team consists of a Head Brewer, Assistant Brewer, and seasonal help, reporting directly to the Company Director.

Rural East Yorkshire is also ideal for brewers looking to relocate, boasting sensible housing prices and absolutely beautiful countryside. As Great Newsome is based on a forward-thinking, working family farm (which won the 2020 Family Farming Business of the Year) there is a real opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge on the growing of malting barley.
