Liquorice Lads Stout
This stout combines heady aromas of Pontefract cakes with German hops, roast malt flavours, and, of course, real liquorice! These rich and unique flavourings have won LLS a SIBA gold medal, as well as a World Beer Awards bronze medal.
Behind the name
This beer honours the young men who, historically, dug up liquorice for the sweet factories of West Yorkshire. It also celebrates the ancient crop’s recent reemergence in the county’s farmlands.
