Newsome Nights: Slecktember, Our New Open Mic Night | Great Newsome Brewery
What on earth are Newsome Nights?
We’re holding a small, ticketed open mic and beer on our doorstep on the 21st of September. That’s Newsome Nights plural, as we’re planning on holding more if we’re happy with this pilot. It’s even got a cheesy nickname: Slecktember!
There’ll be six of our different beers on the bar, including two we’re creating specially for the night! Additionally, wine, cider and soft drinks will be available. A range of great pies will be provided by Roos’ own Melbourne Butchers. Let us know of any dietary restrictions you may have (eg: vegetarian, gluten-intolerant) when booking your tickets.
At a maximum attendance of 80 guests, the Newsome Nights will be an order of magnitude smaller than our annual open day. By melding this minuteness with a later start time (7PM-11), we’re hoping to create a more relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. To top it all off, this is an open mic night; feel free to bring your guitars, banjos, poetry; whatever you want! As long as you’re making noise, we’ll be happy to have you.
How much is it?
At a ticket price of £8 per head, you’ll get a free pint and pie of your choosing; additional drinks will be available from the bar.
Tickets can be bought here. For an extra £10 we’ll provide tent pitches.
Unlike the Festivale, pre-bought tickets are mandatory due to the small size of the open night.
Where is it?
Like our annual open days prior, we’ll be holding the Newsome Nights adjacent to the brewery. The full address is as follows:
